How to Use Timexora
A complete walkthrough of everything you can do — from a 30-second countdown to a fully customized, password-protected one with email reminders.
Creating a countdown
Go to the homepage and give your event a name, pick an event type (Wedding, Birthday, Product Launch, Holiday, Exam, Deadline, Retirement, or Custom), and set a date. Time and timezone are there too — leave the time blank for an all-day event.
Choose Classic (dark, elegant), Minimal (light, clean), Bold (vibrant gradient), Elegant (soft, romantic — great for weddings), Neon (glowing, high-energy — great for launches and gaming), or Custom — which lets you set your own accent color, upload a background photo, and choose light or dark text so it matches your event exactly.
Turn on Count up instead of counting down (for anniversaries or "days since" trackers), or Repeat every year instead — perfect for birthdays and anniversaries, since once the date passes it automatically rolls forward to the same date next year on its own, no need to ever recreate it. Write a custom zero-hour message shown with a confetti burst (and a little chime) when the countdown ends, add a password to keep it private, and/or add an email to get reminded 7 days and 1 day before.
You'll instantly get a shareable link, an embed code snippet, and an edit link. Save the edit link somewhere safe — it's the only way to change or delete the countdown later, since there's no account or password recovery for it.
Sharing your countdown
The link (timexora.com/e/your-slug) works anywhere — text it, post it, or drop it in a group chat. When shared on Facebook, WhatsApp, or Twitter/X, it shows a live preview image with the actual countdown numbers baked in, not just a logo. The "Share" row on every countdown page also has a one-click QR code (generated right in your browser, nothing sent to a third-party service) — handy for printing on invitations or posters.
You can also add the event straight to Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar using the "Add to Calendar" button, switch into Fullscreen for showing it on a projector or TV at an event, and any visitor can tap "Show in my timezone" to see the date recalculated for wherever they are, instead of the timezone you created it in.
Embedding it on your own site
Copy the embed code from the success screen (or your edit page) and paste it anywhere in your site's HTML:

Password-protected countdowns can't be embedded, since the widget has no way to ask for a password.
Wishes & messages
Every countdown page has a small guestbook at the bottom where visitors can leave a name and a short message — great for a wedding or birthday countdown people are sharing. Anyone with the link can post one; no account needed. If you get a message you'd rather not show, open your edit link and remove it from the "Wishes & Messages" section — only you can do that.
Finding your countdowns again ("My Countdowns")
Since there are no accounts, it's easy to lose track of a countdown's link if you make more than one. Every countdown you create is automatically remembered on My Countdowns — but only on the browser and device you created it on, since nothing is saved to our servers. Clearing your browser data will clear this list too, so it's still worth saving important edit links somewhere safe.
Editing or deleting later
Open your edit link (timexora.com/e/your-slug/edit/your-token) to change anything — title, date, theme, password, or reminder email — or scroll to the "Danger Zone" to delete it permanently.
Making it public
Countdowns are private by default — only reachable by people with the link. Check "List this countdown on the public Explore gallery" if you'd like it discoverable at /explore. Password-protected countdowns are never listed, even if this box is checked. Explore has both a "Newest" and a "🔥 Trending" tab, ranked by how many people have viewed each countdown.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. Creating and sharing a countdown never requires signup. The private edit link is what proves it's yours.
I lost my edit link — can you recover it?
Unfortunately no — since there are no accounts, we have no way to verify who a countdown belongs to besides that link. Keep it somewhere safe when you create a countdown.
Is Timexora free?
Yes, entirely free, with no limits on how many countdowns you create.

Can I use any timezone, or just a few big ones?
Any of them — the timezone dropdown covers every IANA timezone (400+), one for essentially every country and city, not just a short curated list.
Can I moderate the guestbook messages people leave?
Yes. Open your edit link and scroll to "Wishes & Messages" — you can remove any message from there. Nobody else can, since it requires your private edit link.
